- March 27th: SCC Director, Le Fujun presented a seminar dedicated to the traditional Shaolin Monastery boxing set, Bodhidharma 18 Hands (Chin.: Dámó Shíbā Shǒu 达摩十八手), and Chan Philosophy. We thank the participants, regular members and non-members of the center, for their engagement and interest regarding the Shaolin Culture.

- March 8th: The evening was dedicated to Shaolin Monastery Elder, Ven. Shi Suxi (1924-2006), with a commemorative event in parallel with celebrations at Shaolin Monastery in China, the Italian school and elsewhere around the world as the date marked the fourth anniversary of his passing. Members of the center Shaolin Chan City heard the life story of Ven. Shi Suxi and his invaluable contributions (which can be read online here: Ven. Shi Suxi: Life & Legacy), trained hard as usual, and ended the celebration with training competitions and an evening dinner.

- March 1st: SCC Founder & Director, Le Fujun, was invited to give an impromptu performance and discussion on the bridge of the Millennium Student Center during the Foreign Language week held at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, which displayed the culture of several countries. The Chinese hour presented calligraphy artwork and Traditional Shaolin Wugong.

- February 20th: SCC Founder & Director, Le Fujun, was invited to perform Traditional Shaolin Wugong for the Chinese New Year celebration held at the Apex Martial Arts Training Center in Chesterfield. The performance — initiated with a traditional lion dance ceremony — showcased not only various Chinese martial arts, but other Southeast Asian arts by groups that train in the facility.
- In the first days of the new year several copies of the book SHAOLIN: a journey arrived at the school Wuseng Houbeidui - Italy. The book is a unique collection of photographs, information and thoughts about Shaolin culture written by the Founder & Director of the Italian school, 32nd Gen. Shaolin Disciple Shi Xingmi (Walter Gjergja). The new book is to be published in the course of the year. More information will be available in the coming months. - January 4th: The official opening and first session for SCC was Monday, January 4th, 2010. Participants, male and female, came from around the St. Louis region, from other area schools, and even from out of state. Experience levels ranged from beginners to those who had years of previous training in Chinese martial arts as well as other traditions. The first session was run as an introduction and basic overview of Traditional Shaolin Culture. Participants had a taste of Shaolin Qigong (chi-kung), training time in the basics of Traditional Shaolin Wugong (kung-fu wushu), and finished with a discussion on Shaolin Culture, Chan Philosophy, and a period of meditation.
